Forane® 427A Refrigerant

Forane® 427A is a new 100% HFC blend from Arkema offering an easier retrofit for existing R-22 installations.
R-22 is an HCFC and hence subject to the regulations of the Montreal Protocol.
Forane® 427A is a simplified retrofit solution for existing R-22 installations in a large range of applications. It offers a similar performance to R-22 usually without any modification to the installation.
Forane® 427A can be used to retrofit low temperature refrigeration equipment as well as air-conditioning installations. It is non-toxic and non-flammable meeting the highest A1/A1 requirement on both counts.
Forane® 427A is a 100% HFC blend and is consequently compatible with Polyolester (POE) lubricants. However it is unusually tolerant of high levels of residual AB or mineral oil, up to 10% or sometimes even 15% oil remaining after the change from R-22.
